Projects outside the powers of your constitution: Your constitution must give you the power to carry out the project or activity you are asking us to fund. We will check the clauses which tell us about your objects and powers to make sure this is the case.
Branches: If your organisation is linked to a larger organisation, you may only apply for a grant in your own right if you are Independent. If you are not Independent, you may still be able to apply for a grant, but you will need to fulfil the requirements for dependent branches and obtain the support of your ‘parent’ organisation in writing.
Local Independent organisations: By ‘Independent’ we mean that you must have:
- a constitution of your own;
- a separate management/steering committee;
- a bank account under your direct control;
- your own and most recent approved annual accounts, signed and dated by your Chairman/woman and by your auditor or accountant, and
- total control over your income and how it is spent. | More...
