Grant Management Support

Invited Guests at the IDF launch
Grantees at the IDF launch

If you believe that you can benefit from some capacity development support to manage the project applied for more effectively, we will consider any capacity development support you identify, that you require, for additional funding. This should be budgeted separately to the project budget itself and the costs should be clearly broken down and provided in detail together with any supporting details that supports your case ie direct outcomes of the support etc and who you will use to deliver/access the support etc.

How many grants can you apply for?
Due to the limited funds available, we will be restricting our grants to one existing grant per organisation. You will also be considered to be in receipt of a grant if you are part of a consortia and therefore ineligible to receive another grant until the current grant is closed.

How often can you apply?
If you are not successful but eligible to receive a grant, you can apply again straight away.
If you are reapplying for a grant to develop the work of a project started by an existing grant, you may reapply up to 12 months before your first grant ends. This application will have to include evidence that you have been reviewing your project and acting on what you have found. It should make sure that your project adequately meets need. This might be through:
Because we expect you to have reviewed and learned from your first project, we refer to these applications as ‘development reapplications’. If you are successful in getting development reapplication funding, you should remember that we can only fund a project for the remainder of the length of the Human Rights grants programme. This means that you may not be able to reapply to develop the work of this project again.

Please also see, Have you held a grant from us before, for important information about how we assess development reapplications. We do not have to provide any further funding for a project when any grant ends. We judge all applications competitively. If you need more information about reapplications, please contact the office managing your current grant.
